Unforgettable

Sometimes things happen we will never forget it. One of those things happened a couple weeks ago when I got back into the office after vacation...

I was hungry and needing a little snackage. So, I open the cabinet above my computer and pull out the trail mix I had put up there a couple weeks before. All I could think was how awesome the dried cranberry was going to taste! I love the texture...the sweet, yet tart flavor. Needless to say, party going on in the head as I was pulling out the air-tight rubber maid container.

As I open the container something flies out...then another something flies out. I shut the lid as quickly as I possibly can. Finally, I get up enough courage to look through the side of the container and saw 5 or 6 baby moths flying around inside. Needless to say I was sick to my stomach, no longer hungry, and had lost my craving for the dried cranberry. I left the container on my desk the rest of the day and showed it to everyone who came by. For a while, I considered keeping them. But, the more I looked at them the more grossed out I was. So...at the end of the day I ended up throwing it all away.

All of that to say, I'm hungry...I now have new trail mix...and I don't think the dried cranberry sounds as good as it did two weeks ago!

rafting

our singles went down the ocoee yesterday. we all were able to secure a boat together. after the river, we ate at cracker barrel for dinner before heading back to our homes. these are the facts, and they are undisputable.

i have to say the whole thing was a great ride. i can now say that i've faced the river head on and survived...before i fell backwards in the boat a few seconds after hitting the big rapid at the end. tim and steph both lasted longer on the front. it was a good work out, fo shizzle.

one lesson i have learned is that drinking ocoee water through my nose is not good for my digestive system. i have a slightly nauseous feeling this morning that might be from the cracker barrel. i don't think so. i am planning on squelching that nausea with a coffee cake from the bux.

waking up was very difficult as well. i can see going to sleep tonight around 9:00p and falling asleep before i hit the pillow. (let's hope i don't fall asleep today and hit the keyboard.) as expected, i am going to need extra caffeine to put me back on track today. today is a good day for the batman begins soundtrack.

speaking of work, i had better get to it. by the way, i sent the photo over to the whole crew last night. kozy and timmy g's copies bounced. maybe a full mailbox?

ps: sorry for getting all my ministry-workin' friends fired.

I love my job...

I just have to say...I LOVE my job.

Of course like everyone else I have the days where I want to quit and get a job at Starbucks (that's really where I think I would go if I just up and quit). Yesterday just so happened to be one of those days. For no reason really...just wanted to quit...

But then today, I walk into work and get to do the things I love to do...plan, critique, and create. I'm so thankful for my job...I'm thankful for the bosses I have...I'm thankful that my job has an eternal purpose. I'm not just working to get work done...my work really matters!

It's amazing to me how once you start to hang out with people for a while you start to think alike.

My friend Jessi and I were in Canada walking through the hallway of our hotel together. Each time we passed someone we knew we ended up saying the same thing to them at the exact same time. It was weird. It really kind of freaked us out!!!

My friend Tara and I can finish each others thoughts/sentences. Or, we can be thinking the exact same thing...Then email each other basically the same thought. And the stuff we think about is pretty random (trust me)!

Kozy and I usually know when the other one is having a rough day or when something is going wrong. There have been several times she asks how I'm doing (and it's not the just hey how are you) and it's when I REALLY need to talk...She's told me I've done the same for her.

I think it's pretty normal for things like these to happen when you are close to someone, or spend a lot of time together. But, is it normal to constantly be dressed alike?

One day Kozy came to visit me when she got out of her car I couldn't believe it...She was dressed like me! I remembered then, Jessi was dressed exactly the same too. So, we took a picture which is posted here (starbucks drinks added for effect).

A couple months later, I walk into Jessi's living room and look over. Yet again she is wearing the EXACT same outfit I am. Later that evening she's talking to Tara on the phone and tells Tara the story. As Jessi is describing our outfit Tara starts screaming "OH MY GOSH...I'M WEARING THAT TOO!!!"

Well, it doesn't stop there. Tara came to visit me yesterday. I was unloading my car when she drove up and noticed a very familiar lime green color. I thought NO WAY...But YES WAY she was wearing the exact same t-shirt, and jeans I was!

I guess this just goes to prove that great fashionista's all think alike!

So he was right...

A friend of mine told me that I needed to start blogging some of the stuff that goes on in my life. At first I laughed it off...yeah right like I have time to blog! But more things started to happen...I told some other friends about it and a common phrase among all of us became "wow...that's worth a blog." So here it is...my first blog! WOOHOO!!!

Now...what were all those things worth blogging???
